Advantages of PEEK wear-resistant sleeves in oxygen bleaching machines in strong alkaline environments

The oxygen bleaching process is an efficient fabric cleaning technology that uses an alkaline solution generated by the reaction of sodium carbonate and water, with a pH value of up to 11.5, providing a strong decontamination environment for fabrics. However, under such strong alkaline conditions, the durability of the equipment has become a severe challenge, and the advantage of the oxygen bleaching machine using PEEK (polyetheretherketone) wear-resistant sleeves is more prominent.

The reason why PEEK material can perform well in a strong alkaline environment is mainly due to its unique chemical structure. First, the PEEK molecular chain contains a large number of aromatic rings, which can resist the erosion of hydroxide ions and ensure the stability of the molecular structure. Secondly, the ether bond and ketone bond in PEEK have high bond energy, and even in a strong alkaline environment, it is not easy to hydrolyze, thereby maintaining the chemical inertness of the material. Furthermore, the molecules in the crystal region of PEEK are tightly arranged, forming a natural protective barrier, which effectively blocks the penetration of chemical substances and reduces the risk of damage to the molecular chain. In addition, the smooth surface of PEEK further enhances its resistance to acid and alkali corrosion.

The PEEK wear-resistant sleeve has become a solid backing for the long-term stable operation of the oxygen bleaching machine with its excellent chemical stability and wear resistance.
